Facts are meaningless

How come when everyone does the same thing these days, no matter how dull the thing, it’s called a phenomenon? You know, like the “social networking phenomenon” and all that?

Back in my day, when we all wore legwarmers for no reason, even when our legs were perfectly warm already, it wasn’t called “the legwarmer phenomenon”. It was called bloody stupid a fad.

I had like eight pairs of legwarmers. Man, was I ever cool.

That those dudes from the Kings of Leon are pretty hot.

I was watching MTV last night and I was like: "Woah, fellas! Quit being so cute, or make out with me immediately - the choice is yours."

Yesterday I got up early to do yoga and I'm sure it will surprise nobody when I tell you that I suck at that shit.

It doesn't help that my instructor has this weird accent and I kept on mistaking chin for shin or shin for chin or whatever.

At the end of the lesson we were told to sit quietly and breeeeathe, while thinking about how we would like our day to unfold. I prayed for something interesting to do at work (didn't happen) and my kid to come home from school with a perfectly rolled joint for me and a note saying that I had the night off from motherhood seeing as it was Friday and all (didn't happen).

Fuck yoga.
